Mixed Days & Evenings Travel Pay Rate:
$2,700 - $2,900 weekly Position Summary Utilize high-frequency sound waves to produce diagnostic ultrasound images and related data to assist physicians in medical diagnosis. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a wide range of general ultrasound procedures while ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and compassionate care. Key Responsibilities Prepare and set up ultrasound equipment and ensure readiness for patient examinations Select appropriate transducers (type and frequency) based on examination requirements Obtain and review relevant patient history and clinical data to support accurate diagnosis Position patients properly to obtain optimal diagnostic images in accordance with departmental protocols Explain procedures to patients and address questions to ensure comfort and cooperation Provide physical and psychological support to patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality and diagnostic adequacy Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper labeling and identification of images Assist physicians with specialized procedures, including ultrasound-guided interventions and biopsies Coordinate workflow to ensure efficiency and timely completion of imaging services Requisition supplies, equipment, and maintenance services as needed Maintain compliance with departmental policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures Participate in continuing education and professional development activities Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program Current ARDMS certification required Registered in Abdomen and OB/GYN (ARDMS) required Current BLS certification required Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking) Ability to maintain active and current certifications and credentials For more details contact at mdeshpande@navitashealth.com About Navitas Healthcare, LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
