Travel X-Ray Tech in Waverly, IA

Category Imaging - X-ray Job Type Travel Experienced imaging professionals are sought for a contract opportunity specializing in X-ray services. The position offers diverse clinical exposure, working across outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and surgical settings. State-of-the-art equipment includes Siemens x-ray units and portables, as well as a GE c-arm for surgical procedures. With a high scan volume averaging 100-120 studies per day, this role requires efficiency, adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

Contract basis; specifics provided during the interview process Occasional holiday coverage required: Must be available to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) On-call responsibilities with applicable compensation multipliers

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Proficient in performing diagnostic X-ray imaging Prior experience working in outpatient, inpatient, ED, or surgical environments strongly preferred Familiarity with Siemens x-ray systems and GE c-arm equipment is a plus Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred Ability to independently manage patient flow and transport, including bringing outpatients to imaging areas and moving ER patients as needed Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Primary Duties:

Conduct high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring safety and comfort Operate imaging equipment, review images for quality, and accurately document findings in the EMR Assist with patient transportation within the department and from ED or waiting areas Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care
