Job Description

Job description Join a fast-paced team at an area hospital in Richmond, VA where your expertise as a Radiation Therapist will directly impact lives. From administering targeted treatments to collaborating with oncology professionals, you will play a vital role in helping patients fight cancer with confidence and compassion. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program. AART Certification in Radiation Therapy. Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required by Virginia. Minimum 2 years experience as a radiation therapist. Experience operating and maintaining radiation therapy equipment and verifying treatment plans. Experience positioning patients, ensuring immobilization, monitoring for adverse reactions, and documenting treatments. Experience in a hospital radiation oncology department. Familiarity with collaborative care within multidisciplinary oncology teams.
Shift Hours:

As a Radiation Therapist you will operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, accurately position and immobilize patients, verify treatment plans and dosages with the oncology team, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and maintain accurate treatment documentation. Richmond combines historic landmarks with outdoor access and cultural attractions. John's Church within minutes of downtown and offers the James River Park System with over 22 miles of trails and paddling access. Commuting is convenient via I-95 and I-64, and the downtown area provides restaurants, performing arts venues, and the Richmond Coliseum within a short drive. This area fits clinicians seeking a mix of urban and outdoor activities within easy regional travel times to Charlottesville and Virginia Beach.
