Job Title:
Construction Project Superintendent Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Superintendent to lead and oversee the successful execution of construction projects. The role involves managing subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating project schedules to deliver high-quality results within budget and time constraints. Responsibilities Promote the company's safety culture, fostering an injury-free environment through personal actions and mentoring. Investigate safety incidents and provide necessary staff retraining. Manage subcontractors and organize overall project workflow. Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs for safety, quality, and EEO compliance. Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed tasks. Coordinate and manage the care, custody, and control of the project site. Lead daily standup and weekly trade meetings. Attend, manage, and participate in progress and project OAC meetings. Create, manage, and implement project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager. Track and monitor project budget and costs using project management systems. Communicate key project information to stakeholders and authorities. Maintain project documentation, including updating drawings and logs. Evaluate and adjust progress on self-performed work as needed. Manage material and equipment needs for the project. Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment for self-perform operations. Manage timecard approvals to ensure accurate hours reporting. Ensure quality compliance through specifications and standards. Support project closeouts by coordinating activities with stakeholders. Understand and engage in the project pursuit process. Collaborate with field operations and project team for project pre-planning. Establish field staffing requirements for assigned projects. Identify and negotiate schedule and cost changes with project management. Participate in project review meetings and presentations. Engage in project buyout meetings with subcontractors and vendors. Apply contract terms and conditions for the project. Identify and recruit top talent for project teams. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in construction supervision and management. Proficiency in blueprint reading and construction management software. Advanced Technology/Semiconductor experience. Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) processes. Experience in cleanroom and semiconductor environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to perform work accurately and in a timely manner. Intermediate verbal and written communication skills. Effective presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of construction management fundamentals. Ability to build relationships that transcend projects. Proficiency in project management and accounting software. Proficiency in scheduling software. Understanding of Lean process and philosophy. Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work. Ability to manage budgets and maximize profitability. Work Environment The position requires being onsite in the jobsite office every day. The work involves a dynamic and collaborative environment where safety and quality standards are paramount. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Essex Junction, VT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
