In this energetic position, you will be responsible for trimming, pruning, and removing trees with precision and care, ensuring they thrive while minimizing hazards. Your expertise will help enhance community environments, support sustainable growth, and uphold safety standards across various landscapes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your horticultural knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced, physically engaging setting. Duties Safely operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other tree care equipment to access high branches and difficult areas. Perform tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth, remove dead or hazardous limbs, and shape trees for aesthetic appeal. Use rigging techniques to carefully lower large branches or tree sections during removal or maintenance activities. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to complement tree care efforts. Maintain detailed records of work performed using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning purposes. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during equipment operation and tree work activities. Assist with land clearing projects and support growing experience in horticulture through hands-on learning. Requirements Proven experience in tree care, landscaping, or related outdoor maintenance roles with a focus on tree trimming and pruning. Knowledge of rigging techniques for safe removal of large branches or trees. Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other specialized equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping and project planning is preferred. Strong understanding of horticulture principles related to tree health, growth patterns, and landscape maintenance. Physical stamina to perform demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects is essential. Growing experience or formal training in horticulture or landscape management is highly desirable.
