Duties Safely operate a variety of trucks such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight efficiently. Load and unload cargo with precision, utilizing equipment like forklifts when necessary to ensure secure handling. Drive route-specific deliveries while adhering to schedules, traffic laws, and safety regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each journey. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with transportation regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries smoothly. Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a focus on freight delivery and route driving. Hands-on experience operating manual transmission vehicles and specialized trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or other tools. Knowledge of safety procedures related to trucking operations and cargo handling. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the types of vehicles operated (e.g., tanker endorsement).
