Your primary mission is to ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight across designated routes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight efficiently. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security. Follow designated routes diligently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies to ensure timely deliveries. Manage documentation accurately for each shipment, including delivery receipts and route logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck and cargo area throughout your shift. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in manual transmission vehicles preferred. Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across diverse cargo types such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or specialized equipment. Ability to operate various truck types including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklifts when necessary. Strong knowledge of route driving principles and safety regulations governing commercial driving. Experience with load & unload procedures and handling freight securely during transit. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over time. Physical ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and assist with cargo handling as needed.
