Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, across designated routes to deliver freight on time. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or other tools, ensuring proper handling of freight like refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or heavy equipment. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with regulatory standards. Follow route plans efficiently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules to optimize productivity. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times, potential delays, or issues encountered during routes. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and transportation regulations to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road. Requirements Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving environments; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., tanker, flatbed) and route requirements. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with confidence and precision. Ability to handle various types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off containers. Experience with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment; familiarity with securing different types of cargo is preferred. Knowledge of route planning and navigation tools to ensure efficient deliveries across diverse locations.
