Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Trusts & Estate Attorney specializing in estate administration to join our esteemed legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead high level and complex estate matters (tax, estate planning and asset preservation) for executives of major public and private companies, R/E developers and investors, entrepreneurs and business owners, high net worth individuals, multi-national businesses and non profit institutions), provide expert legal guidance, and ensure the seamless administration of trusts and estates. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in estate planning, probate procedures, and trust law, combined with excellent research and drafting skills. Duties Manage the full spectrum of estate administration processes, including probate proceedings, trust management, and estate settlement. Draft, review, and execute legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate settlement agreements. Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting estate administration. Advise clients on estate planning strategies, tax implications, and compliance with federal and state laws. Negotiate settlements in contested estate matters or disputes involving beneficiaries or creditors. Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive estate management. Prepare detailed reports, legal memoranda, and correspondence to support case development and client communication. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. LLM (MS Tax)

MUST 6-10
years experience in estate planning, probate law, trust administration, or related fields such as family law or securities law. Strong knowledge of estate planning techniques, environmental law considerations (if applicable), and tribal law & regulations where relevant. Proficiency in legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw; familiarity with Law office management software is a plus. Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents and administrative records efficiently. Demonstrated negotiation skills to resolve disputes amicably while protecting client interests. Prior experience with litigation processes related to estate or trust disputes is advantageous. Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of legal administrative procedures involved in estate settlement processes.
