Job Description

The Assistant Director of Commissions supports the Director of Commissions in overseeing TWFG's onshore and off‑shore commission operations to ensure accurate, timely completion for payrollcycles. This mid‑management role bridges responsibilities between Commission Manager and Director—driving daily production health, exception resolution, KPIs/reporting, controls, and staff development. Supervisory responsibility for the Commission Processors. Co‑manage daily processing priorities across on‑shore/off‑shore workgroups; monitor queues, throughput, and error rates. Review complex commission entries, reconciliations, sweep and direct‑bill logs; clear exceptions and elevate systemic issues. 30% Provide supervisory oversight for the Commission Processors, coaching and growing capability, complete performance reviews and development planning. Recruit, Interview and Train Commission Processors, building a comprehensive on-board training plan. Build training for current Processors, keep Standard Operating Procedures up-to-date and conduct QA spot checks. 20% Partners with carriers, agents, and internal stakeholders to resolve escalations rapidly and professionally. Drive process improvement, leveraging technology automation. Partnering closely with IT to identify business requirements, success measures, user acceptance testing and final approval to go live with enhancements. Leverage AI for continuous process improvement and to automate processes 20% Support pre‑close and close activities for commission cycles; serve as closing backup when delegated by the Director. 20% Prepare and deliver operational reports and close packs to Accounting; approve check print queues as delegated. 10% Key Internal & External Partners Agents Carriers Internal TWFG stakeholders (Accounting, Payroll & IT) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Cycle close timeliness Daily entry/reconciliation throughput vs. target Error/rework rate ≤ 5% target Reconciliation turnaround time ≤48-72 on average target days (varies by carrier) Education & Experience Associate degree or higher (Bachelor Degree Preferred) in Accounting/Business 3+ years in insurance commission operations (agency or MGA), including direct‑bill and agency‑bill experience. 3+ years leading a team of commission processors or similar roles Strong Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience with process improvement Preferred Qualifications Technology process improvement experience, identify business requirements, success measures, user acceptance testing and final approval to go live with enhancements Insurance Agent or Agency experience a plus
