POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for using ultrasound equipment to help visualize internal anatomy and functions while delivering high-quality patient care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESRESPONSIBILITIES
Perform ultrasound examinations using sonographic equipment Identify and observe areas of concern and report urgent abnormalities promptly Send images to PACS for Radiologist interpretation Document patient information accurately and timely in patient charts Maintain sonography equipment and report equipment issues Manage multiple patients and priorities efficiently Work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and team members Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures Participate in required in-service education and training programs
QUALIFICATIONS
Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field required Bachelor's Degree preferred One (1) year of acute care sonography experience preferred
