Unarmed Security Officer

Schedule:

32hrs a week Monday - Friday 3pm -11pm (Must have reliable transportation; no bus routes) Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively. You will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring the safety of individuals within your assigned area. Responsibilities Monitor premises using surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure safety and security. Conduct regular patrols of the assigned area to deter and detect any suspicious activity. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent unauthorized access. Document incidents, observations, and any actions taken in detailed reports. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns. Assist in loss prevention strategies by identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities. Qualifications Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not required. Knowledge of conflict management techniques to handle difficult situations effectively. Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention practices. Strong observational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
