University of Oregon Big Ten Diversity Fellow

Background:

The Big Ten Diversity Fellow program provides annual funding for an entry-level administrative position at each member institution. The fellowship is intended to provide access, recruitment, and leadership development experience for candidates pursuing careers in collegiate athletics administration.

General position summary:

The University of Oregon Big Ten Fellow will report directly to the Associate Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Development and will collaborate with Student-Athlete Development staff to design and implement innovative programs and individualized support services that empower student-athletes to excel both academically and professionally. The fellow will engage regularly with Athletic Department staff, campus colleagues, and community partners. This position requires occasional evening and weekend availability.

Job duties:

Oversee all aspects of the Athletic Department's community service program, O Heroes, including event planning, community partnership development, marketing, student-athlete engagement, and the integration of service-learning principles into program design Support the development and implementation of Ducks Go Pro career readiness programming, including coordinating events and professional development activities designed to prepare student-athletes for life after sport Contribute to program development and implementation within the

initiative, including support for student-athlete affinity groups, BEOREGON events, and broader Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB) programming Provide additional support to Student-Athlete Development and DEIB staff on projects and initiatives as assigned

Length of Fellowship:

This is a part-time, paid fellowship at 30 hours per week, with a ten-month appointment from September 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The position is compensated at $21 per hour.
