Job Description
Background:
The Big Ten Diversity Fellow program provides annual funding for an entry-level administrative position at each member institution. The fellowship is intended to provide access, recruitment, and leadership development experience for candidates pursuing careers in collegiate athletics administration.General position summary:
The University of Oregon Big Ten Fellow will report directly to the Associate Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Development and will collaborate with Student-Athlete Development staff to design and implement innovative programs and individualized support services that empower student-athletes to excel both academically and professionally. The fellow will engage regularly with Athletic Department staff, campus colleagues, and community partners. This position requires occasional evening and weekend availability.Job duties:
Oversee all aspects of the Athletic Department's community service program, O Heroes, including event planning, community partnership development, marketing, student-athlete engagement, and the integration of service-learning principles into program design Support the development and implementation of Ducks Go Pro career readiness programming, including coordinating events and professional development activities designed to prepare student-athletes for life after sport Contribute to program development and implementation within theBEOREGON
initiative, including support for student-athlete affinity groups, BEOREGON events, and broader Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB) programming Provide additional support to Student-Athlete Development and DEIB staff on projects and initiatives as assignedLength of Fellowship:
This is a part-time, paid fellowship at 30 hours per week, with a ten-month appointment from September 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The position is compensated at $21 per hour.How to apply:
