Upper Elementary Teacher

We are seeking a warm, engaging, and perceptive Upper Elementary Teacher who is intentional about balancing the needs of the whole child . Our learning environment draws from Montessori methodology alongside an eclectic mix of curricula—we value creativity, dedication, and a teacher's ability to read the room and meet each child where they are. We aim to create experiential learning opportunities within intentionally small class settings (never exceeding a 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio ), supported by access to materials and thoughtful guidance, while developing curious, self-motivated learners who engage with excitement and find purpose in their studies. Our classrooms are multi-age and designed to foster collaboration, and real-world connections and applications . You will help create an atmosphere that is structured yet lively—where conversation and curiosity are welcomed. Curriculum provides a strong foundation, alongside the flexibility to pause and reinforce foundational skills or follow student interest when deeper engagement emerges . We emphasize critical thinking, practical application, and depth of understanding over rote memorization. Our approach prioritizes quality over quantity , allowing space to slow down, adjust, and fully develop ideas when it matters most. We focus on individualized progress rather than standardized testing, supporting each student's growth with a holistic mindset. Our program includes a strong emphasis on emotional regulation, social-emotional development, and movement as part of the learning process.
