Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Urinalysis Technician/Phlebotomist to join our clinical laboratory team. This role involves performing specimen collection, processing, and analysis to support accurate diagnostic testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, patient care, and phlebotomy techniques, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with laboratory and clinical experience to contribute to patient health outcomes in a professional healthcare environment. Responsibilities Collect blood samples via venipuncture and other specimen collection methods, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols Perform urinalysis testing and analyze specimens accurately using established laboratory procedures and techniques Process and prepare specimens for further testing or analysis, ensuring proper labeling and documentation Monitor patient vital signs as needed and provide compassionate patient service throughout the specimen collection process Maintain strict adherence to medical terminology standards and laboratory safety guidelines Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of biological specimens in compliance with regulatory requirements Maintain accurate records of all tests performed, specimen details, and patient information Assist with laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting as necessary Support the overall workflow of the clinical laboratory by collaborating with team members and adhering to quality assurance protocols Qualifications Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to specimen collection and analysis Skilled in venipuncture (blood sampling), phlebotomy, and specimen processing Prior hospital or healthcare facility experience is preferred Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Familiarity with vital signs measurement and aseptic techniques is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Certification or training in phlebotomy or related laboratory disciplines is highly desirable This position provides an essential role within our healthcare team by ensuring precise testing procedures that support effective patient diagnosis and treatment.

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
