Job Summary:
The City of Universal City is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Utility Clerk to join our Utility Administration team. This position involves moderately complex technical bookkeeping and customer service tasks related to utility billing. The ideal candidate will be organized, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced municipal environment. Why Join Us? Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update utility customer account files Review for accurate billing Provide customer service in person and over the phone Accurately process utility payments and balance daily funds Support general administrative and municipal office duties Assist the Utility Manager and other staff as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record
Preferred:
Experience with Incode
ERP PRO 9
Utility Billing Prior experience in utility billing, bookkeeping, or customer service Prior cash handling and reconciliation experience
Schedule:
Approx. 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday Schedule may vary to meet department needs Occasional evenings and weekends required for city events or meetings
