In this energetic role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying underground utilities and other critical infrastructure to prevent damage, ensure safety, and facilitate smooth project execution. Your expertise will help protect workers, the public, and vital services while supporting the successful completion of diverse field operations. Duties Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to locate underground utilities such as gas, water, electric, telecommunications, and sewer lines. Interpret blueprints, maps, and land survey data to accurately mark utility locations on construction sites. Operate field equipment including backhoes, forklifts, and cable locators to assist with site preparation and utility identification. Conduct thorough field inspections to verify utility positions before excavation or construction activities begin. Collaborate with construction teams, engineers, and project managers to communicate utility locations clearly and effectively. Maintain detailed records of utility markings, survey data, and locating activities for project documentation. Follow safety protocols rigorously to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others on-site. Skills Proven experience as a service technician or in utility locating within a construction or field service environment. Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and blueprint reading to interpret technical drawings accurately. Skilled in utility locating techniques using modern tools such as electromagnetic locators and ground-penetrating radar. Experience operating heavy machinery including backhoes, forklifts, and cabling equipment is highly desirable. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and precision. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and project stakeholders. Pay:

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
