Utility Operator

Summary As an Utility Operator, your role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial equipment, particularly those involving HMI, VCB, ACB, and high/low voltage systems. You ensure efficient and safe operations by performing routine inspections, addressing equipment issues promptly, and conducting preventive maintenance. Additionally, you maintain accurate records and collaborate with the utility team to comply with safety standards, contributing to the overall success and smooth operation of the facility. Minimum Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or higher preferred Prior experience in plant operation in a live manufacturing or industrial facility is required State approved license preferred. (Conditioned air contractor, Plumber, electrician etc) Experience as a facility operator in a live manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred 3~5 years professional experience in live facility maintenance preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Electrical Systems:

Expertise in high/low voltage systems, including VCBs and ACBs operation and maintenance. HMI (Human-Machine Interfaces): Proficiency in monitoring and controlling industrial processes via HMI systems.

Industrial Equipment:

Comprehensive understanding of industrial machinery and its maintenance requirements.

Safety Standards:

Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry safety protocols to ensure compliance.

Preventive Maintenance:

Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.

Troubleshooting:

Strong diagnostic skills to efficiently identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.

Technical Proficiency:

Ability to operate diagnostic tools and software for system analysis and maintenance.

Communication:

Effective verbal and written communication for team collaboration and documentation.

Ensure efficient and safe operation of all equipment. Perform routine maintenance on VCBs, ACBs, and high/low voltage systems. Conduct repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity. Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in industrial machinery. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify root causes and implement solutions. Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules. Conduct regular inspections to detect potential failures. Ensure operations comply with OSHA and industry safety standards. Enforce safety protocols and participate in audits and inspections. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications. Work closely with engineers, production teams, and facility management to enhance efficiency. Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and operators. Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
