What they do

A Military Specialist operates and maintains vehicles and mechanical equipment pertinent to mission success, whether on the sea, land or in the air. May monitor communication, detection, or weapons systems during operations. Interprets and evaluates tactical situations, making recommendations to supervisors. May operate weapons targeting, firing, and launch systems whether during combat or peacetime. In addition to their combat training, they have also specialized training in swimming, diving, parachuting, survival, emergency medicine, and foreign languages. Duties include conducting advanced reconnaissance operations and collecting intelligence information; recruiting, training, and equipping friendly forces; conducting raids and invasions on enemy territories; laying and detonating explosives for demolition targets; locating, identifying, defusing, and disposing of ordnance; and operating and maintaining sophisticated communications equipment.

•$140,000 Job Description PPC seeks experienced Joint Targeting professionals to serve as Instructors and Operations Specialists in support of the Joint Targeting School (JTS), a Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) J7 schoolhouse at Dam Neck Annex, NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA. JTS is the DoD's premier joint targeting education program, delivering operational-level targeting training to Service, Interagency, and Allied personnel from Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, Federal Departments, and Partner Nations. Selected candidates will deliver the Joint Targeting Staff course — covering the full Joint Targeting Cycle — in both traditional classroom and virtual (NIPR/SIPR Microsoft Teams LMS) environments as part of a two-person instructor team. Instructors also support curriculum review boards, military targeting committee meetings, joint doctrine development conferences, and working groups as subject matter experts. security clearance with NACLAC in-scope within the last 5 years

•-No degree with a minimum of 7 years' warfighting operational experience

•-Demonstrated success in three (3) or more of the following areas: Familiarity with the Targeting community and key participants in Joint Targeting and Joint Planning Process Comprehensive knowledge of employment of military forces in the joint environment; in-depth understanding of the Joint Targeting Cycle Knowledge of Joint Doctrine and Chairman Instructions/Manuals Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis and evaluations Experience with Verification and Validation (V&V) of software tools against authoritative data sources Comprehensive practical knowledge of ISD principles sufficient to independently plan, coordinate, and design instruction for complex joint targeting training programs High degree of knowledge in preparing and directing correspondence, reports, briefings, graphs, and charts; proficient with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of one or more Joint Targeting Staff Courses Experience interoperating weaponeering applications with mission planning systems and C2 environments Joint Staff or Combatant Command targeting staff experience Knowledge of Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manuals (JMEMs) update cycles and controlled distribution procedures SharePoint experience
