Vascular Technologist

Duties Perform detailed vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies, to assess blood flow and vascular integrity. Assist with interventional radiology procedures, such as catheter placements and minimally invasive treatments, ensuring optimal imaging guidance. Monitor vital signs and maintain strict aseptic techniques during procedures to uphold safety standards. Gather comprehensive patient histories and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and cooperation. Record and analyze physiological data, including anatomy and blood flow patterns, for accurate diagnostic evaluation. Support cardiac catheterization processes by preparing equipment and assisting during procedures in the cath lab. Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures, findings, and patient interactions following hospital protocols. Requirements Proven experience in sonography with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to vascular imaging. Knowledge of interventional radiology techniques, including cardiac catheterization and minimally invasive vascular procedures. Familiarity with telemetry monitoring, vital signs assessment, and emergency medicine protocols within a Level I Trauma Center or Level II trauma center setting. Proficiency in medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation methods used in vascular assessments. Hands-on experience working in a cath lab environment or similar high-acuity setting. Strong aseptic technique skills to prevent infection during invasive procedures. Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments such as emergency departments or trauma centers.
