Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to ensure our fleet operates smoothly and safely. In this role, you will diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions, conduct preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your expertise in vehicle systems and diagnostics will be essential to keeping our operations running efficiently. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic tests to identify vehicle malfunctions and determine necessary repairs, ensuring minimal downtime. Execute comprehensive vehicle repairs, including adjustments and testing of steering, electrical, cooling, and braking systems, to maintain optimal performance. Conduct thorough inspections of completed repairs, securing necessary approvals before returning vehicles to service, and upholding safety standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment, adhering to all relevant federal, state, and local guidelines. Document time, parts, and repairs accurately on the appropriate forms to maintain detailed service records. Provide roadside assistance and perform on-the-road repairs as needed, ensuring timely resolution of vehicle issues. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in medium/heavy truck fleet mechanic repairs. Proficiency in diagnostics, electrical systems, and AC repair. In-depth technical knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel equipment. Familiarity with diesel and gasoline systems. Possession of essential hand tools for a Vehicle Technician. Preferred Skills Ability to make sound judgments and effective decisions. Valid state license (CDL preferred). ASE Certification.
