Responsibilities Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in animals, ensuring accurate assessments using veterinary terminology and understanding of animal physiology and anatomy. Perform surgical procedures, including animal restraint, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques to maintain sterile environments. Conduct thorough animal examinations, including animal handling, animal husbandry, pet grooming, and laboratory testing to support accurate diagnoses. Assist with emergency critical care cases, applying veterinary critical care experience to stabilize and treat critically ill animals. Educate pet owners on animal care best practices, including pet grooming, vaccination protocols, and preventive health measures. Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with veterinary standards and proper documentation of treatments performed. Support laboratory work and diagnostic testing to identify pathogens or health issues affecting animals, including equine cases when applicable. Experience Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in general animal care and medical procedures. Demonstrated expertise in veterinary critical care scenarios and emergency response situations. Skilled in animal restraint techniques for safe handling during examinations or procedures. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy to ensure precise diagnosis and treatment planning. Hands-on experience with pet grooming, animal catheterization, aseptic techniques, and laboratory diagnostics. Experience working with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, horses (equine experience preferred), and other small or large animals as needed. Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members while maintaining a lively, positive attitude. $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
