Veterinary Assistant - Full Time

We are a rapidly growing complementary veterinary practice that focuses on alternative therapies for our patients. The therapies we currently offer include, but are not limited to, acupuncture, chiropractic care, ozone therapy, nutritional support, and cold laser therapy. We strive to keep a calm and relaxing environment for our patients to enjoy during their treatments. Offering these therapies gives us the privilege to develop unique relationships with our clients and patients. Experience working as a veterinary assistant is required for the ideal candidate. We are looking for a team member with interest in complementary/alternative veterinary therapies, displays exemplary customer service and communication, and someone to complement our current team to help our practice grow. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in the examination and treatment of dogs/cats, client communications and reception, and housekeeping. Daily Responsibilities:

• Greet/check in clients and pets
• Gather patient history
• Client communications and reception
• Handling patients during exams and treatments
• Housekeeping duties
• Collection/submission of lab samples
• Filling prescriptions/herbs
• Receiving inventory

Requirements:

• 2-year minimum experience working as a vet assistant
• 1-year minimum experience working with complementary/alternative veterinary therapies
• Flexible availability
• Ability to pleasantly solve unexpected issues
• Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch for an extended period of time
