Responsibilities :

• Assist in low stress animal handling, restraint, and examination
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
• Phlebotomy and proper specimen handling
• Anesthesia Monitoring / Dental Prophylaxis / Aseptic Technique
• Ability to read and interpret a patient's medical records
• Educate pet owners on preventive care and treatment plans

Qualifications :

• Certification as a Veterinary Technician (preferred)
• Knowledge of diseases processes and medical terminology
• Experience in low stress animal handling, restraint, and phlebotomy
• Must be professional with outstanding customer service
• Experience in surgery and anesthesia (preferred)
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance
