Veterinary Technician (Internal Medicine)

Required skills include:

Increase efficiency of the doctor staff by providing care and support to patients, clients, and hospital staff. Provide excellent medical support and compassionate care for patients and clients. Act as a point of communication between clients and internal hospital staff regarding the status of hospitalized patients. Duties and Responsibilities Give accurate and detailed rounds. Prepare and monitor patients receiving advanced dialysis treatments. Evaluate and identify lung sounds (abnormal and normal) and evaluate and identify heart murmurs on auscultation. Demonstrate the comprehension and treatment of hypercapnia, hypocapnia, hypertension, hypotension, bradycardia, tachycardia Have a detailed understanding of creating and presenting estimates to owners, while also able to answer any medical-related questions or concerns in an appropriate manner. Assist doctor with ultrasounds. Assist with and perform basic and advanced CPR. Appropriately calculate and set up continuous rate infusions. Correctly demonstrate setting up and assisting with all endoscopic procedures. Ability to use C-Arm and assist with all procedures requiring fluoroscopy. Set up and maintain a buretrol with fluids and additives. Perform routine intravenous inductions and intubate anesthetized patients safely. Demonstrate how to check correct positioning and cuff inflation. Anesthesia On-Call shifts required Responsible for upholding the spirit of ACCESS by handling all necessary tasks that require attention • Willing to learn with a team that is willing to teach!
