Job Description:

A Chicago-based private investment platform is seeking a Vice President of Investments to join its Consumer team. The role focuses on sourcing, executing, and managing equity investments across consumer-facing sectors, including branded consumer products, retail, e-commerce, and food & beverage. The VP will take a lead role across the full investment lifecycle and work closely with senior team members on both new transactions and portfolio value creation. Key Responsibilities Source and evaluate new consumer investment opportunities Lead financial modeling, valuation, and investment committee materials Drive execution across due diligence, structuring, and negotiations Partner with portfolio companies on growth and operational initiatives Monitor portfolio performance and support exit strategy development Build and maintain relationships with founders, advisors, and intermediaries Candidate Profile 5-8+ years in private equity, growth equity, investment banking, or investing roles Strong financial modeling and transaction execution experience Prior exposure to consumer/retail/consumer brands preferred Comfortable operating in a lean, hands-on investing environment Strong communication skills and ability to engage with management teams
