Credit Union Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a $2B Pennsylvania credit union in the search for a Vice President of Information Security. This role provides strategic leadership and oversight for the organization's information security program and serves as the senior-most authority on security risk, governance, and resilience. The Vice President of Information Security is responsible for establishing enterprise-wide security direction, policies, and safeguards while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory expectations.Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for the organization's information security program. Serve as the senior authority on cybersecurity risk, governance, and enterprise resilience. Oversee daily monitoring of IT and security operations. Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. Lead risk assessments, security audits, and mitigation planning efforts. Present security reporting, risk updates, and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board. Evaluate and recommend improvements to IT systems, infrastructure, processes, and tools. Lead the development and management of the IT and cybersecurity budget. Oversee business continuity planning, testing, and ongoing program maintenance. Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements. Collaborate with internal and external auditors and regulatory examiners. Lead, develop, and manage information security and operational security staff. Oversee hiring, performance management, and team development activities. Partner with organizational leadership to ensure technology solutions support business strategy. Stay current on emerging cybersecurity and technology trends and assess organizational applicability. Support a culture of security awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred, or Bachelor's degree with relevant professional certification, or equivalent experience. 8-10+ years of related information security or cybersecurity experience required. Financial services industry experience preferred. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and risk management principles. Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex security operations. Strong communication skills with ability to engage across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and Board members.
