Job Summary The Butter Coldbox employee must properly set up, case off, palletize, identify, wrap and put away butter products from one or more packaging lines, in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner. Employee must also keep the packaging warehouse neat and organized and provide break and lunch relief for other operators in the Butter Room. Essential Functions Set up, case off, palletize, identify, wrap and put away butter products from one or more packaging lines, in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner. Assist in CIPing butter lines during clean up. Keep Robot supplied with packaging materials at all times. Keep the Coldbox and packaging warehouse neat and organized. Clear/Create P batches. Operate NICE Labeler. Assist in shipping finished goods when needed. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly Master Sanitation items. Follow all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area. Responsible for training new hires when assigned. Assist with break and lunch relief as needed. Complete all paperwork neatly and correctly. Follow all safety and working rules. Must have the ability to get along with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and conducive work environment. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute towards a quality environment. Excellent regular full-time attendance in support of company objectives. Use initiative and judgment in making decisions, keeping with California Dairies, Inc. best interests. Support and enforce SQF / QA, GMP, Safety policies and procedures, and production needs. "Food Safety and Quality" are the responsibilities of this position. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic computational skills required. Simple math reasoning required. Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period. Must demonstrate good judgement when carrying out duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Language Skills English is required as the written and spoken language. High School level verbal and written communication skills. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must possess or be able to acquire a forklift certification.

N/A Equipment Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to hearing protection, bump caps, hair and beard nets, gloves, and safety glasses must be used in the performance of duties. Proper lifting techniques must be employed at all times. Work Environment . Sitting/Standing/Walking:
Each workday the operator stands throughout their shift (8-12 hours). The operator walks on uneven concrete and tiles surfaces.
Lifting/Carrying:
Each workday the operator lifts to 55 pounds on a frequent basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis. Two or more employees' complete lifts of greater than 80 pounds.
Pushing/Pulling:
Each workday the operator occasionally pushes/pulls a supply cart of 100 pounds maximum weight.
Bending/Stooping:
Each workday the operator bends and stoops occasionally throughout the workday, when picking supplies or waste product on the floor.
Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling:
Each workday the operator may squat when picking up butter supplies, picking up product from the floor, and during clean up.
Twisting/Turning:
Each workday frequent intermittent repetitive twisting/turning at the waist is required.
Climbing/Balancing:
Each workday the operator uses stepladders six to eight feet high on an occasional basis or climb up to four steps on a frequent basis.
Reaching:
Each workday the operator will have to reach at waist level to pull product to the scale. Nearly all of the machine adjustments are done below shoulder level.
Grasping/Manipulating:
Frequent use of the hands and fingers are required. Each workday the operators must grasp the supplies by hand when feeding the machines, or when cleaning the machines.
