Job Description
Warehouse Cargo Handler (
Overnight Shift:
11:30 PM - 8:00 AM) Position Overview Join a fast-moving air cargo warehouse team supporting overnight freight operations. In this role, you'll handle incoming and outgoing shipments by unloading aircraft containers, organizing freight, and preparing it for transport. This is a consistent night shift position ideal for individuals who prefer a steady schedule in a logistics-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Open and unload air cargo containers (ULDs) by releasing straps, accessing contents, and safely removing packages. Sort and reorganize inbound freight, stacking and aligning boxes onto pallets following specific guidelines. Enter ULDs when necessary to retrieve and clear packages in a controlled and safe manner. Scan shipments using handheld devices to track movement and maintain accurate inventory records. Build secure pallet loads by stacking boxes and consolidating freight into larger container units. Transport palletized goods within the warehouse using pallet jacks and coordinate with forklift operators. Stage and load outbound freight onto trucks for distribution. Use packaging materials such as tape and reinforced cardboard to secure shipments. Follow all safety protocols, including use of gloves and steel-toe boots when handling equipment and cargo. Complete required onboarding training, documentation, and safety assessments. Required Qualifications At least 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience preferred. Familiarity with scanning devices, palletizing, and general warehouse processes. Ability to accurately read and write in English for training, safety materials, and documentation. Comfortable working overnight hours on a consistent schedule. Flexibility for occasional shift adjustments due to flight schedules. Willingness to work weekends as part of a regular 5-day schedule. Ability to obtain a SIDA badge (must provide valid original identification documents). Comfortable working in a cool, damp warehouse environment. Steel-toe footwear required. Preferred Experience Experience in air cargo, freight handling, or airport operations. Experience working around forklifts or assisting operators. Knowledge of ULD containers and air cargo handling practices. Previous roles involving packaging, shipping, or logistics environments. Strong attention to detail when organizing and labeling shipments. Reliable attendance and punctuality, especially for overnight shifts. Why Join This Team? On-site parking available for convenience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SeaTac, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.17 - $23.17/hr.
