Ability to perform physical tasks, including repeated lifting 50+lbs., bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching, etc., and standing for extended periods - up to 8-hour shifts. The ability to work with and around industrial hazards. 2+ years of experience in in warehouse, production, or manufacturing preferred. The Warehouse Lead assists the facility Manager to achieve department goals in safety, quality, and efficiency. This person assists in the processes within the department to provide support in picking and packing of all products that need to be shipped or delivered to BVS customers and locations. This position is responsible for checking and maintaining accurate inventory and maintaining a high level of professionalism with internal and external customers, working to establish a positive rapport with others.
Responsibilities include:
  • Follow safety rules, work policies and procedures per training/instructions, complying with legal regulations including
OSHA, DOT, USDA, FDA, EPA.
  • Safely operate equipment, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Assist other warehouse team members in shipping and receiving, delivering customer's orders and inventory transfers.
  • Collaborate with the appropriate parties to ensure accurate and timely deliveries of customer orders.
  • Load and unload inbound products.
  • Assist with inventory control counts and completion of full inventory audits.
  • Complete stock movements throughout the facility ensuring proper storage and handling of all products and FIFO rotation is maintained.
  • Ensure accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments and the ability to address discrepancies with the facility Manager and purchasing department.
  • Assists the facility Manager with the training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Maintains weekly cleaning schedule and safety/security compliance checklist to ensure a safe, secure, and clean working environment.
  • Offers feedback for team member performance evaluation to facility Manager.
  • Communicate in an efficient and effective manner with all team members.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support for local customers and walk-ins.
  • Be responsible, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Recognizes safety hazards, performs safety audits and assists with accident investigations.
  • Advocate for safe practices along with the culture and expectations that BVS represents.
  • Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities
  • Due to the nature of business, BVS warehouse employees must consent to and have the ability to pass a pre-employment and annual drug test and extensive Federal level background check.
  • Previous experience operating forklift and/or pallet jacks required
  • Ability to work scheduled shift as assigned.
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials and wear provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Able to understand and follow instructions and procedures.
  • Proficient organizational skills.
  • Self-motivator and self-starter.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and effectively work independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others as part of the team.
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer concerns.
  • Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, judgment, and initiative.
  • Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect customer and employee safety.
  • Effective reading, math, and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in warehouse, production, or manufacturing preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Able to work on foot for extended periods of time - up to 8-hour shifts.
  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Job Type:

$45,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
