Duties Coordinate warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure timely order fulfillment. Manage procurement processes by sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing vendor management to optimize costs and quality. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms like SAP or Oracle to plan routes, track shipments, and analyze logistics data for continuous improvement. Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies, implementing process improvements to prevent recurrence. Oversee warehouse management system (WMS) operations, ensuring accurate data collection, inventory accuracy, and stock replenishment strategies. Collaborate with 3PL providers (third-party logistics) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners to coordinate freight movement and optimize transportation planning. Lead category management initiatives by analyzing pricing trends, demand planning, and supply chain analytics to maximize profit margins while maintaining high service levels. Supervise materials handling equipment operation such as forklifts, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory management, shipping accuracy, and overall logistics efficiency. Experience Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics coordination within a fast-paced distribution environment. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, demand planning, and inventory control. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, and transportation management systems (TMS). Familiarity with freight forwarding processes including NVOCC operations and 3PL partnerships. Data analysis skills using tools such as Tableau or SQL to interpret logistics data and support decision-making. Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred. Excellent negotiation skills for vendor contracts and procurement activities. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
