Wash Bay Technician The Wash bay Technician will work at the facility located in Henry, TN and will be an integral part of cleaning and disinfecting all trucks, trailers and equipment to prevent the spread of diseases amongst our herd. The schedule will fluctuate depending on staffing and operational needs of the business/department. The pay is based on the equipment that you wash and you will be compensated according to the wash bay piece work pay schedule. This is currently a part time position; Saturday & Sunday 7am-5pm Shift You should expect to: Wash, dry, and disinfect various equipment, trailers, and trucks Work independently and as a team Wash Livestock trailers and trucks to specifications Install and remove plugs, etc. as required Operate pressure washer and other high powered equipment Champion a Safety Culture Other duties as assigned Compensated Piece Work according to wash bay Pay Schedule Who you are: Strong attention to detail Work in a fast pace environment Follow through of all assignments Able to work in various temperatures (cold and hot) Ability to work safely Self motivated Must be willing to work various shifts Physical This position is physically demanding & safety sensitive Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat frequently Ability to reach above shoulder level and below waist level Ability to grip, grasp, and manipulate tools and equipment (hoses, pressure washers, brushes, valves) Ability to push and pull equipment such as hoses, carts, or movable wash components Ability to lift, carry, and move objects including the pressure washer that can weigh up to 50 pounds with or without assistance Ability to maintain balance and footing on wet, slippery, or uneven surfaces Ability to work with hands and arms extended for prolonged periods Ability to perform repetitive motions involving arms, hands, and shoulders Ability to see clearly (with or without corrective lenses) to identify dirt, damage, leaks, or safety hazards Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alerts in a noisy environment Ability to work in wet, humid, hot, or cold conditions Ability to tolerate exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, detergents, and degreasers Ability to work at a consistent pace to meet operational cleaning schedules Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for the duration of the scheduled shift Ability to work overtime or extended hours, as needed Ability to work around moving vehicles and equipment in a wash bay environment Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to maintain situational awareness to avoid slips, falls, and equipment-related hazards Ability to respond quickly to changing conditions or emergencies Ability to drive/operate company vehicles and trucks to move around parking lot and bay While no job description can anticipate or encompass all the duties required by the job, this description is designed to give a general understanding of job expectations.
