Job Description
Overview The Water Resource Manager is responsible for the planning, developing, and managing water resources to ensure sustainable use and protection of water supplies. The role involves overseeing water conservation programs, managing water infrastructure projects, dam operations and structural aspects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with stakeholders to support efficient water resource management and oversees dam management. Responsibilities Develop and implement long-term water resource management and conservation strategies based on water supply, demand, and water balance assessments Support watershed management, groundwater protection, drought response, and emergency water supply planning initiatives Oversee water supply systems, including the Wesley Seale Dam and Choke Canyon Reservoir, along with treatment facilities and distribution networks Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement projects while monitoring storage levels and supply reliability Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations through monitoring, reporting, and environmental assessments Collect and analyze hydrological, meteorological, groundwater, surface water, and usage data to prepare technical reports and forecasts Collaborate with government agencies, environmental organizations, and community stakeholders on regional water management initiatives Communicate water management policies, conservation strategies, and sustainable water practices to the public and partner organizations Position Type and Typical Hours of Work Exempt - Full-Time - 40-hour work week

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
- Six (6) years of experience Licenses and Certifications Required
- A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire Employment Testing Employment is contingent on passing any post-offer pre-employment screening as listed below:
