Location:
Rochester, MN area This full-time, permanent Sales Engineer role is with a growing company that specializes in delivering engineered solutions to enhance industrial and commercial systems. In this key position, you will serve as a territory manager in Southeast Minnesota, focusing on driving 80% new business growth while nurturing existing customer relationships. With annual growth rates of 10-12%, we are expanding our team by incorporating 1-2 new positions each year. Successful candidates may also be considered for regional or sales manager roles as they arise. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in chemistry, mechanical engineering, automation, system design, and financial accountability. Key responsibilities of the successful candidate include: Maintaining and expanding customer relationships as a self-motivated, outgoing professional Providing technical sales and support with a focus on customer satisfaction Managing a sales territory, necessitating daily travel (up to 3+ hours of driving) Contributing to a positive team culture and company growth Demonstrating a proven track record in sales, customer retention, and collaboration Applying mechanical and technical expertise, especially in water treatment, water chemistry, or fluid process control Managing mid-market and large accounts with a history of surpassing sales targets The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Environmental preferred) At least 3 years of B2B sales experience in commercial or industrial sectors (experience with industrial systems, manufacturing processes, high/low-pressure systems, or water treatment is required) Strong foundation in mechanical engineering, chemistry, automation, and system design Must reside within a 55-minute radius of the Rochester, MN area Stable work history with a history of accomplishments Ability to travel within the assigned territory, which may involve up to 3+ hours of driving per day US citizenship or Green Card status
