The Sorter is responsible for removing, inspecting, counting, and preparing metal parts for further production in a sheet‑metal fabrication environment. The role requires repetitive lifting, attention to detail, manual finishing of parts, accurate documentation, and safe operation of material‑handling equipment. 🔧 Core Responsibilities Part Removal & Sorting — Remove metal parts from skeletons and organize them according to procedures. Counting & Documentation — Accurately count components and record results in required formats. Quality Inspection — Visually examine parts and classify quality levels. Manual Finishing — Remove laser dross by scraping, sanding, or grinding. Repetitive Lifting — Move and organize parts throughout the work area. Material Handling — Operate forklifts and related equipment when trained. Safety Compliance — Follow PPE and safety procedures at all times. Work Area Organization — Maintain a clean, efficient workspace. Team Collaboration — Work with supervisors and peers to meet production goals.
