    Welder
  • Job Description
  • This role focuses on MIG welding aluminum components used in concrete form production. You will join an established welding team and contribute to building high-quality products in a busy fabrication environment.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform MIG welding on aluminum components according to specifications and quality standards.
+ Read and follow work instructions, drawings, or layouts related to concrete form fabrication. + Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. + Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and structural integrity, and make necessary adjustments. + Collaborate with other welders and production staff to meet daily and weekly production targets. + Assist in general shop tasks when needed, such as picking up trash, loading trucks, cleaning work areas, and servicing equipment. + Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while welding and performing related tasks. + Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient production environment.
  • Essential Skills
  • + At least 1 year of MIG welding experience. + Hands-on experience welding aluminum components. + Ability to operate MIG welding equipment safely and effectively. + Capability to work in a production environment with concrete form fabrication. + Willingness to perform non-welding tasks as needed to support overall operations. + No formal education or certifications required.

  • + Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication facility. + Comfort working as part of a team of welders and production staff. + Flexibility to assist in different areas of the facility when requested. + Strong work ethic and reliability in a full-time, day-shift schedule.

  • Work Environment
  • This position is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility that specializes in concrete forms.
Welders primarily work toward the center of the facility, while other functions such as shipping and assembly operate around the edges. The typical schedule runs from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed. You will work as part of a team of about 25 welders, with plans to grow the team to around 30. The environment emphasizes teamwork and flexibility, and you may occasionally assist in non-welding tasks throughout the facility. The dress code requires jeans or cotton dress pants and long sleeve shirts while welding.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
