Job Posting Position:

Welder Class I Qualifications:

Five years' experience in a job shop welding position doing Mig, Tig, and Sub Arc welding. High school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to hand tools required for position. Must have solid drawing, make layouts, fit up weldments and finish weld per drawings.

Must be physically able to:

work 4-5 hours, bend for extended time, able to work in areas requiring bending, stooping, turning, twisting, etc.

Primary Duties:

Must read and interpret detailed blueprints and perform highly diversified work in welding a wide variety of various steel fabrications. Cutting, grinding, and preparing material for welding.

Use of different weld methods:

mig, welding electrodes, preheat, weld, post-heat, straighten, bend, etc. Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean.

Secondary Duties:

Diagnostic checking of machines controls. Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisor. Instruct or train new operators.

Rate:

Starting rate will depend upon individual's qualifications.
