Welder

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Welder for a well-established manufacturing company located in Manor, Texas. In this role, you'll be responsible for welding and modifying repurposed shipping containers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, highly safety-conscious, and takes pride in producing top-quality welds.

AS A WELDER, YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Setting up and operating welding equipment for various fabrication tasks
• Reading blueprints, drawings, and measurements to produce precise welds
• Cutting, preparing, and assembling metal parts for welding
• Inspecting finished welds for quality and making corrections as needed
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Following all safety procedures and company policies
• Assisting with routine maintenance of welding equipment
• Ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 2+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to read measurements, blueprints, and specifications accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Highly safety-conscious and follows strict safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be reliable and able to maintain a consistent schedule
• Ability to pass a skills test (two weeks provided to complete a sample test)

$20-22/hr (DOE)

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM
