Their enduring quality comes from one simple secret: fresh, premium tomatoes in every recipe. Job Summary The Welder Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, welding, repairing, and modifying stainless steel equipment and structural components used in food manufacturing operations. This position supports plant reliability, food safety, and continuous production by ensuring all welded components meet sanitary design, quality, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, weld, assemble, and install stainless steel components, machinery, piping, and structural supports.
  • Ability to complete general routine maintenance tasks
  • Perform TIG welding (primarily stainless steel); MIG welding as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
  • Repair and modify foodprocessing equipment and productionline components.
  • Ensure welds and finishes meet foodgrade sanitary standards.
  • Measure, cut, grind, polish, and finish metals to precise tolerances.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain welding tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and hot work permits. Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-5 years of welding/fabrication experience (food or pharma preferred).
  • Proficiency in TIG welding stainless steel (304/316).
  • Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently Preferred Qualifications
  • Welding certifications (AWS/TIG preferred).
  • Experience with sanitary welding standards (3A, FDA, USDA).
  • Background in plant maintenance or fabrication support. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to work on ladders, platforms, or scaffolding. Work Environment
  • Food manufacturing facility with strict hygiene standards.
  • Exposure to welding fumes, heat, noise, and machinery.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
