Welder/Fabricator

About us Don Den's Sales, Inc is a small business in Carlton, MN specializing in truck & trailer up-fitting, service, and custom product manufacturing for the heavy truck and trailer industry. Our goal is to be the #1 up fitter for the truck and trailer industry in northern Minnesota. We are looking for a highly skilled and seasoned fabricator to work with our growing fabrication team. This position requires a seasoned fabricator for both standard and custom builds.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our foreman and design engineer to design, build, and service products
• Fabricate, repair, and service as needed for truck and trailer up-fitting (axles, suspensions, beams, guards, log racks, end gates, exhaust)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and stress points.

Effectively produce and fabricate parts for solutions/fixes. Creativity and outside of the box thinking is often required for these specialized solutions and fixes.

Other duties:

• Interpret drawings and schematics
• Operate and maintain welding equipment
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble components
• Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet standards
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role
• CERTIFIED and Proficient in MIG, TIG, wire feed
• must pass in-house welding test
• Familiarity with forklift operation for material handling
• Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods of time
