Position Overview:

Geringhoff is seeking a welder/fabricator to fabricate and weld components using blueprints, work instructions, and fixturing. The Welding / Fabricating position is responsible for fabricating and welding components to specifications using work instruction and blueprints to meet quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Weld and fabricate steel components using fixturing, work instruction, and blueprints Work with and communicate needs to the Head of Fabrication and Welding Establish and maintain a clean, safe, and productive atmosphere living 5S principles Follow all safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company rules and regulations Some limited computer use Other tasks as requested by department head

Required Education and Experience:

Welding diploma preferred 1-2 years welding/fabrication experience in a shop setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be able to pass a 1G V-Groove weld in both Mig and Tig welding processes Must have basic knowledge of operating fabrication related equipment Must have basic understanding of how to read blueprints Must be punctual and reliable Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Must be a self-motivated reliable individual Must be quality driven Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
