Primary Responsibilities:

Researching and identifying prospective suppliers Collaborating with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost effective acquisition of goods while maintaining quality standards Preparing and issuing purchase orders and supplier agreements Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings Analyzing industry and demand trends and supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records Following up with vendors on pricing questions when necessary Maintaining master data on vendors and materials including delivery times, terms order quantities and all other pertinent information Interacting closely with the planning department and production department

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred 3-5 years of purchasing experience in an industrial environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies Excellent communication with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Proficiency working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and ERP system experience (preferably SAP) Team player with strong organizational skills How to reach us Application Address Geringhoff Distribution LP
