Job Description
Connectus Health is accepting applications for a full time Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our rapidly growing Women's Health practice. Connectus Health is part of a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center with loan repayment options available through the Health Resources and Services Administration. Essential Job Functions/Duties Clinical job functions: Provide direct clinical services and management of patients as defined in practice standing orders, policies, procedures and protocols. Obtain patient health histories and complete physical examinations. Document findings noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings. Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests. Explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patient, family, staff, and healthcare learners. Collaborate with all colleagues including physicians, physician assistants, behavioral health consultants, and nurses and document in medical records and appropriate narrative summaries. Responsible for conducting patient visits for work-in, walk-in, and scheduled appointments for prenatal, gynecologic, and postpartum care management visits. Responsible for in office procedures such as colposcopies, placement of LARC devices, and other procedures under scope of practice Assists team members with inbound clinical triage Provides direction to interdisciplinary team/ staff regarding treatment of the patient conditions. Provides patient education, advice and information on health assessment, disease processes, medications and treatment plans. Monitors the quality of care delivered. Assists organization in ensuring Joint Commission and other regulatory standards are met. Knowledge of general medical procedures and the ability to anticipate complications and the indicated therapeutic interventions
Required Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited program for Advanced Practice Nurses. Advanced education and training in the diagnosis and management of common medical conditions and chronic illnesses related to women's health, prenatal care, and post-partum care, and gynecologic patient issues Current licensure as a women's health specialty advanced practice nurse (WHNP) Proficient in placement of LARC devices and performing colposcopies and LEEPs or willing to complete training within 6 months of hire Meets all requirements required for privileges of service. Eligible for a DEA and a NPI #. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Preferred Requirements:
