• 23/hour Lingo Staffing is hiring Experienced Wood Assemblers for a well-established packaging manufacturer in Trumbull, CT .

This is a hands-on position for someone with real carpentry, construction, woodworking, or crate-building experience who can read blueprints/cut sheets, use power tools safely, and build quality products to customer specifications. Responsibilities Build custom wooden crates, bases, skids, and crate caps using blueprints/cut sheets Use nail guns, staple guns, power drills, grinders, hammers, utility knives, heat sealers, and other tools Measure materials accurately using a tape measure, with accuracy up to 1/8 inch Read, interpret, and identify possible cut sheet or stenciling errors Apply foam to wood crates using adhesives and complete specification checks Safely use ladders when assembling crate tops/caps Assemble bases or skids while crouching or kneeling, including use of a 20 lb nail gun Log in and out of jobs using the production planning system/Ops Center Follow work instructions, production schedules, SOPs, PPE requirements, and safety procedures Qualifications 2+ years of carpentry, woodworking, construction, crate-building, or similar hands-on assembly experience preferred Must be comfortable reading blueprints, cut sheets, measurements, and work instructions Strong experience with hand tools, power tools, and dimensional measuring tools Basic computer skills to log jobs in and out of the production system Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, and working in a production environment Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus High School Diploma or GED preferred Requirements Pre-employment drug screen and background check required. #LSCTJOBS
