Wound Care Nurse

Wound Care Nurse Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care and treatment to patients with acute or chronic wounds. Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including measurement, staging, and documentation
• Develop individualized care plans based on the assessment findings and patient needs
• Administer appropriate wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and application of topical medications
• Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients

Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:

• All applicants must have an active Wound Care Certification
• Minimum of [2] years of experience as a Wound Care Nurse or in a similar role
• Proficiency in wound assessment, management, and treatment techniques
• Experience with sonography for wound evaluation is preferred
• Knowledge of acute pain management strategies
• Experience administering injections for pain management or other purposes
• Familiarity with acute care settings and the ability to handle complex cases
• Strong anatomy knowledge to understand wound healing processes
• Excellent case management skills to coordinate care for patients with multiple comorbidities
