Wild Child Playschool is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher for a Young 5s classroom in our progressive, play-based preschool program, starting August 2026. Preschool Young 5s Teacher M-F, 8am - 4pm Small class size (max 12 students) Qualifications Associates in childhood/education field, or CDA, or High Scope certification. Description Wild Child Playschool offers play-based, child-led learning that nourishes healthy, independent, empathetic thinkers by focusing on play, nature, and social and emotional skills. Staff recognize and encourage the interests of children rather than teach from a prescribed curriculum. Duties:

Keep children physically and emotionally safe, engaged, and respected. Plan, implement, and facilitate play-based learning opportunities. Stage indoor and outdoor spaces daily, and maintain organization and cleanliness. Adapt activities as needed based on children's needs and interests. Maintain organized portfolio for each child, including documentation and observation. Participate in school activities, such as professional development, social events, parent conferences.
