Youth Development Manager

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Polk County is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and positive Youth Development Manager to help recruit, retain, and engage members in meaningful, fun, and empowering programs. As a Youth Development Manager, you'll play a key role in mentoring youth, building relationships, and creating a safe and exciting environment where kids of all ages can thrive. Key Responsibilities:

Recruit and retain school aged members for programming Plan and lead engaging, fun, and educational activities Build strong, supportive relationships with members Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment Act as a positive role model and mentor Collaborate with club staff to support overall program success

What We're Looking For:

Experience working with youth Strong communication and leadership skills Energetic, creative, and dependable Passion for mentoring and youth development Ability to engage and motivate kids Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises between 5-10 employees at the designated Club location. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the program.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications (first 30 days) Valid driver's license with good driving record and consistent access to a motor vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage. A minimum of one to three years' work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization, planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to deal effectively with youth, including discipline problems. Demonstrated ability in working with youth and parents.
