The supervisor will be responsible for over seeing 15-20 direct reports
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Shift:
10P.M. till 7:30 A.M. Education High School Diploma of equivalent Experience
MUST HAVE
¨Prior plastic injection molding experience minimum two years!!!! Technical Skills ¨ Knowledge of plastic injection molding machine operation Physical Demands ¨Must pass pre-hire physical ¨Constant walking/standing; ¨ Frequently pushes, lifts and/or carries up to 20 lbs; ¨ Occasionally pushes, lifts, and/or carries up to 50 lbs; ¨ Frequently bends from the waist ¨ HiLo License- MUST
HAVE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
GOOD
ATTENDANCE
¨ The supervisor will be responsible for over seeing 40 people Work schedule as directed - Punch in and out of time clock
MAINTAIN A SAFE OPERATION AT ALL TIMES
¨ Wear safety glasses ¨ Ensure Safety Glass program is followed ¨ Follow all safety policies and procedures ¨ Insure shop environment is free from all hazards (ex: oil spills, defective machinery, etc.) ¨ Responsible for the cleanup of all indoor and outdoor areas ¨ Properly train all operators in the correct and safe way to do things, using lean manufacturing principles (trimming, packing, etc.) ¨ Use lock out - tag out procedure, when necessary
OVERSEE, DIRECT AND ASSIST ASSOCIATES
¨ Insure proper on the job training of new operators ¨ Direct operators on what to do when not running presses ¨ Assist operators in keeping up with production as needed ¨ Responsible for operator breaks
INSURE PRODUCTION STANDARDS ARE MET. INCLUDING DOCUMENTATION
¨ Schedule presses according to customer requirements ¨ Keep presses running at quoted cycle times (or better if possible) ¨ Accurately do process monitor sheets for all presses that are running ¨ Accurately complete Red Rabit test on secondaries ¨ Set molds and start new jobs as scheduled - As needed ¨ Minor machine repair as needed (call for help if needed) ¨ Material handling ¨ Review operator production reports for accuracy ¨ Accurately complete Layer Process Audit to schedule
INSURE QUALITY STANDARDS ARE MET. INCLUDING DOCUMENTATION.
¨ Keep presses running quality parts (check parts at presses a few times daily) ¨ If running over 2% scrap and you can't correct the problem shut press down and call next Shift Supervisor or Plant Manager for help ¨ Maintain Quality System Standards ¨ Do quality/color checks as needed (Fixture checks, SPC, impacts, etc.) ¨ Properly fill out all quality documentation (Material log, receiving log, etc.) ¨ Help keep visual aids updated ¨ Get rework and sorts done as needed
HOUSEKEEPING
¨ Maintain a clean operation at all times (including outside, lunchroom, offices, etc.) ¨ Vacuum oil daily - As needed ¨ Grind scrap as needed ¨ Empty grinders - As needed
HELP AS NEEDED
¨ Rejection/return sorts ¨ Various errands ¨ Monthly inventories ¨ Charge Hi-Lo battery as needed ¨ Cover each other's vacations Communication is the key. Remember to communicate with your operators and each other daily. Delegate responsibilities to the operators as you see necessary. Follows all safety, housekeeping, and company policies and procedures. Follows all environmental procedures concerning spills, containment and disposal of any hazardous materials. Authority to ensure customer requirements are met. Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and assignments as required.
