• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards for 6th grade social studies and science.
• Create a dynamic and interactive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and class participation.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate cross-curricular themes and enhance the overall educational experience.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive and inclusive school community.
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning and adapt to diverse student needs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum changes.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other school activities as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, Science, or a related field.
• Valid teaching license or certification for middle school education in the state of Ohio.
• Strong knowledge of 6th grade social studies and science curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and foster positive relationships.
• Experience working with middle school students preferred.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes and classroom management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
• Passion for teaching and a desire to inspire students to become lifelong learners.
