The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for reading and writing, while fostering critical thinking and communication skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of all learners. - Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state standards for English Language Arts.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate a variety of instructional strategies, including differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding academic expectations and student performance.
- Support the social and emotional development of students through mentoring and guidance.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification for middle school English Language Arts.
- Strong knowledge of English Language Arts curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
- Experience working with middle school students preferred.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
